Income Maximisation Strategies

The Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) care funding model replaces the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) from 1 October 2022. It will be administered by the Australian Government’s Department of Health. The AN-ACC will be the basic means of allocating Australian Government subsidy to residential aged care providers.

At National Care Solutions, our Director, Ms. Lyn Turner has been involved in the evolution of this funding mechanism since Wollongong University began researching an alternative for the replacement of the ACFI. When ACFI was implemented,  Lyn was the major trainer, contracted to TAFE NSW for Queensland training for the implementation of the ACFI in 2007. Lyn has maintained an active interest in the development and implementation of the AN-ACC.

 

Lyn trained over 4,000 aged care personnel in the use of the ACFI tool. Since 2008 one of the Lyn’s major focuses has been to assist residential aged care providers in the implementation and management of the  current  funding tool.
